The Université du Québec à Montréal (UQAM) needed a way to keep track of data from its 40,000 annually enrolled students. Business Objects created an easy-to-use, Web-based system for data access and which helped understand student needs and program trends.
In 2002, as part of the larger project of convergence towards Basel II standards, Capitalia launched a project to establish credit risk evaluation methodologies based on internal rating models. Business intelligence (with BusinessObjects XI, Web Intelligence, Crystal Reports and Dashboard Manager) provides descriptive analyses of results to various levels of detail.
Constituted in 1997 by the Treasury Ministry (now the MEF - Ministry of Economics and Finance) which is sole shareholder, it is active in two areas: technical and project consultancy for the management and development of information services for the MEF; setting up a program to rationalize public expenditure on goods and services through innovative purchasing procedures.
BusinessObjects XI Release 2 helps GDOT track the performance of its many transportation projects, so it can manage initiatives like road and bridge development, and ensure deadlines are met.
