SAN JOSE, Calif. and PARIS – June 14, 2006 – Business Objects (Nasdaq: BOBJ; Euronext Paris ISIN code: FR0004026250 - BOB), the world’s leading provider of business intelligence (BI) solutions, today announced that Getronics, a leading global provider of workspace management IT services, has selected BusinessObjects™ XI Release 2 to consolidate reporting of the Managed Services business unit (including performance, service-level agreements (SLA) and operational level agreements (OLA)) in order to make decisions based on more accurate and detailed information, enabling it to serve its clients more effectively and efficiently.
More than 600 Getronics employees worldwide will use BusinessObjects XI Release 2 to access information from Oracle PeopleSoft CRM 8.9 and other systems to gain a more complete view of their internal and external Managed Services business unit performance and SLA handling. Staff will also have the option of developing personalized reports using BusinessObjects Web Intelligence or BusinessObjects Desktop Intelligence. In addition, managers will be able to use dashboards to make forecasts and monitor performance.
“SLA and OLA reporting is crucial in our business,” said Steve Sullivan, president of Integrated Managed Service Delivery (IMSD) at Getronics. “Service level and operational level agreements are our way of doing business with our clients. That is why we need accurate and up to date insight into the status of all our agreements. We looked for a reporting platform that gives our field and remote services departments the information they need to make informed decisions and to better serve our clients. By using BusinessObjects Data Integrator we are able to create a single data warehouse which will store all SLA and OLA data from Peoplesoft and other systems, such as our IP call center. This will give us very quick, accurate, and easy access to the data stored in Oracle PeopleSoft CRM 8.9."
“Getronics has already invested in Oracle PeopleSoft CRM for the administration of its SLA data,” said Maurizio Carli, senior vice president and general manager of EMEA at Business Objects. “However, it was still challenging to obtain a complete overview of their services performance and the way they handle agreements. We were able to create a data warehouse very quickly by using our standard PeopleSoft interfaces. The Business Objects solutions are designed to give users worldwide timely, up-to-date and easy access to the information they need to better serve their customers and improve the business.”
