Approximately 10% of the world's population, or more than 650 million people, have some type of disability. Accessibility to software products has been a significant issue for a growing software user population that includes not only those born disabled but those whose abilities have declined to some degree due to accident, illness, or aging.
Business Objects is committed to supporting and addressing the needs of persons with disabilities in our family of business intelligence products. We have incorporated Section 508 of the U.S. Rehabilitation Act and W3C's Web Content Accessibility Guidelines as priorities in our formal product development procedures. Our accessibility compliance team has also grown in order to push harder for accessibility support in our products. Further, we are making our products work with various assistive technologies. Business Objects strives to incorporate accessibility into future releases and newly developed products.
